What language does God speak?

What is a blogger? That can't be me! I don't have anything to say! Well, maybe.....but, then....

In communicating with a new friend, I said of myself, "I am a contemplative." Oh, my! Where did that come from? But ever since those words flew from my mouth, I have felt a sense of deep ownership of that statement! I AM A CONTEMPLATIVE! So.......what does that mean to me.....I ponder....from the Divine to the inane...I look at life and how we beings move through it from many perspectives. So, I decided I need to start getting some of my thoughts out of my head and somewhere else before I inflate any further!

I have a friend who is beginning a journey this weekend to rediscover himself. It will be physically challenging and possibly lonely as he pedals his way through 4000 miles of his past couple of decades. He said something about wanting to disconnect from the many voices in his life that he is intuitive to, in order to hear his own message.

That got me pondering....what language does God (my familiar term, but often referred to as The Universe, The Source, Spirit, Holy Three, etc) speak? Do I even know what it is? Or do I need Divinity to speak in my language....is my conversation with God only about me?
How do I tune in to the soundwave or thoughtwave to hear communication from Out There? I truly believe that part of my journey (and possibly all earth beings) is to learn the language of God....develop a Spiritual ear, first....before I develop a Spiritual voice. So, again......what language does God speak. Where can I get a Rosetta Stone to help me develop this skill?

Is it possible that God's voice sounds a lot like favorite authors, song writters, movie script writers and musical composers who have moved me forward on my journey? Does it sound like the voices of my beloved family and friends? Does it sound like an overheard conversation in a store, public transit or waiting room or a sassy-mouthed teenager or crying baby? Does God speak through the early-morning song birds, the babble of a brook near a campsite, the silent movement of a forest animal. Is the Divine using brail to speak to me through the touch of my grandson's rosy cheek, the velvety petals of a summer flower, the mossy bark of a tree along the trail.....what about the dry, wrinkled hand of a patient, the bright manicured fingers of a sales clerk, the keys of a piano, a pair of garden clippers or even the skin on my own body?

I think the answer is YES! So what is Spirit's message for me today?

We are all ONE. We may look, act, speak and think differently from each other. And the culture that began with the "knowledge of good and evil" that tells us that we are really best if we only look out for ourselves......well that's just a big fat lie! We are a part of a Whole that unites us in ways we can barely comprehend. That Whole is a sustenance and a home for beings as we make this earth journey. And it is when we look beyond the doors, veils, walls, bars, concrete, metal, skin color, knowledge and language that we think keep us separate and secure, we find that our purpose and place; our security and assurance comes from the Whole, not the only.

So.....reach out and touch. Connect. Listen and talk. Join. Participate. LIVE!
